The New Kid
No one knew where the new kid came from, everyone just knew one thing: he was odd. He was a quiet person, and he kept to himself most of the time. Most people just ignored him. "If we don't bother him, he won't bother us" most people would say; and they were right. But, there were some people who had to instigate. They bothered all the other kids, why not the new guy? So one day they cornered him and took turns beating him. It was a very unfair fight, he had no warning whatsoever, but they didn't care. He never snitched on them though, when he was upset or something happened, he would paint a picture about it. When he was upset or angry, the pictures were full of sharp lines and dark colors; most of his pictures were like this. However, the teachers never suspected that anything was wrong. He was always smiling and he seemed so happy. Nobody knew the true feelings behind that smiling face.
