My story...

Leave me be. I am a reborn Keeto who doesn't take much. A few choice words will leave you left for dead.
Ya, I've been taking lessons from Skies. I don't have a girlfriend, I guess I'm looking but She just has walked into my life. I am very, very devoted to Dreams and all she's done for me. I don't take it lightly now when someone attacks her or causes her pain!
My story? I don't know why you want to know but I guess I can tell....

"Leave me alone..." my gruff voice wasn't enough to advice the other Keetos of my unsettled mood.
One of the bullies growled, "Why should we? We've got nothing better to do."
I growled and turned away.
"Look Dusty's upset!" teased one of the bullies trying to get a response out of me.
It fails, I was just not in the mood.
Later, after the bullies got bored and leave, I left home. Or what I called home anyways. It was a shack in central city. Ok, it was more of a box than anything else but it was home. I padded in and curled up.
My dusty color and my name, Fire Star, had gotten me no job and no place to live. Even now, I am picked on and kicked around.
I had swore to myself, that I would never let anyone ever come close to me or allow myself to become anyone's "pet."
Then I met Alanna.
I was down at the job agency, trying to get a job, again and she walked in. She was trying to get a job for a pet called "Snowie." She was denied and she turned to leave, a little dejectedly.
Spotting me, she smiled reassuringly and left. I was shocked. I am not a well-looking Keeto. In fact, I was a beat-up Keeto, no one's pet. I have scars running down my pelt and I was skinny as Hell.
After hearing I was denied for a job, I ran after her. She stopped by all the main shops, then at the gym. She watched a bloodred pherret work on defense. She stood a little longer as she watched a montre work on her health training. She whistled and the Montre loped over to her. She nodded, seemly to herself, and left with the montre.
I watched her and the montre play games together, the montre seemed to favor rock, paper, scissors the most.
Then they left for the battle coliseum. I had to do something here. I have a real problem with the battle system. Forcing a pet to fight is ridiculous to me. I moved in front of them.
"Don't do this!" I cry at them.
The montre looked surprised, "Why ever not?" she demanded. Alanna, the centaur I keep referring to, looked amused and curious.
"You should be free!" I said to the montre, "You shouldn't do anything she forces you to do." I shot Alanna a death glare. She looked shock and hurt, and the montre immediately positioned herself between me and Alanna and growled.
"I owe this lady my life! It's an honor she lets me live with her, and I am happy to do her simple requests! Who are you to come outta nowhere and accuse her of horrible things!"
With that, the montre nudged/forced the stunned centaur into the battle grounds. I whirl to face her.
"But why do you fight?" I shout after her.
She stops and turns to me.
"To make Dreams proud that her money in training is going to a good cause." she said proudly. They entered the battle coliseum together.
For the first time in my life, I wanted to be someone's pet: Dreams. I didn't see the, for the rest of the day.
Dreams, I later found out, had been very unsettled by my accusation but hid her feelings and simply was a little depressed.
Me? I was miserable the entire day and at night, I couldn't sleep. Her kind eyes, that shocked expression kept haunting me.
Finally, the morning met me as a sleepy Keeto troubled by his thoughts and very sick. I had developed over the years of not eating correctly, living in horrible conditions and many other factors, and now it reared its ugly head. It was an illness that attacked my lungs so I could hardly breath and my head felt like it was going to explode.
Dreams found me after two days of this. She had accidentally walked into my alley and spotted my prone form. I can still recall quite vividly that morning.
I was falling into darkness, when I heard hoof beats. I wearily raised my head, and saw Dreams. She had paused perfectly where her body was illuminated by the sun's morning rays, making her look like an angelic pet come to save me. But also a girl stood in her place. A red headed, girl with cat-like ears and a tail flickering behind her. But I am sure that that was just the fever playing tricks on my eyes.
"Help," I manage to say before dropping my head back down.
She lifted a hand to her mouth and her shocked expression quickly changed to distress. That beautiful centaur, I had believed at the time, was going to be the last thing I ever saw. Someone caring about my death, meant more to me than ever becoming a reborn pet.
"Snowie!" her voice cried, "Come and help me!"
Dreams galloped to me was the last thing I remembered. Dreams, Alanna's preferred name, told me she nursed me back into stable health in a little under three days. I don't remember much of that week to be honest.
I was a little shaky after a week in bed, but I insisted on helping clean, considering all the time, effort, and supplies Dream went through to keep me alive.
If I knew then that this lady would've turned me reborn just a few months later, I think I would have become her loving slave.
So when she offered me a place in her home, I jumped at the chance, saying yes so fast, the bloodred Pherret looked at me.
"Well," Skies had said, "Looks like there's another mouth to feed!"
