Maian, or Mai, is the quiet one. He’s the scientist of the family, and also wears the hats of healer and blacksmith.
Mai was killed a long time ago by some bandits when he was a traveling healer. At the time, he had a Halix traveling with him as his assistant, and she used a concoction of the herbs he had in his pouch, as well as a suspicious tear-like crystal that she found in the woods. The combination brought him back to life, but he was a hideous shell of his former self - scarred, pitted, covered in stitches, part of his horn broken off, and worst of all, with soulless-looking yellow will-o-wisps in black pits for eyes. Undaunted, he continued to try and practice his trade, but not many Subetans were receptive to a healer who looked like he did.
