Be Advised! This is not complete...this is just a rough draft of the story I am working on for this character!More will be added later, in addition to an overlay, new profile, and extended treasure!

Rutterkin has lived for now what has become many millennia. Rutterkin is known to dabble in the dark arts and black magic, although one would understand a little better upon knowing who he once was. He now lives in quiet anonymity, residing among those who would not question his identity, comings or goings. He has now come to terms with his immortality and would prefer to spend the rest of his time forgotten...invisible to the world. His human counterpart was taken from him long ago, he has now come to confide in User not found: wretchen, for she respects his wishes for a quiet existence. She has promised hospice for Rutterkin and will care for him until she inevitably passes to the next world as well...

To better understand the circumstances that made Rutterkin into the being he is today, you must be learned in his past. Rutterkin was originally the familiar, or attending spirit, to Joan Flower. Joan and Rutterkin resided in Belvoir, in Grantham, Lincolnshire in the year of 1618. Joan, along with her two daughters; Margaret and Phillippa, worked for the Earl of Rutland at Belvoir Castle. The Earl and Countess had suspected Margaret of thievery and dismissed her from the castle. Becoming angry, Margaret swore revenge upon the Earl and his family.

Margaret, along with her mother Joan and sister Phillippa, were skilled in black magic and began to slowly destroy Belvoir. The sisters had stolen a glove from the Earl's son, Lord Ross; and given it to their mother, Joan. Joan called upon her familiar, Rutterkin, to aid her in the incantations. She proceeded to dip the glove into boiling water, stroked it along Rutterkin's back and pricked the glove. Words were spoken by the three women, and shortly after Lord Ross grew ill and died.

The Earl and Countess became convinced that the mother and daughters were plotting against the family. It was only after another curse was brought to their attention that they took action. A feather was taken from the quilt of Rutland's bed, along with a pair of gloves, with a little more aid from Rutterkin the Countess has soon discovered she had become barren.

In Christmas of 1619, the women were brought in for questioning. Joan, the mother, would not confess and in an effort to prove her innocence she asked to be brought bread and butter. It is said that before she even took a bite she stated, "Let me choke on this bread if I am not to be proclaimed innocent of this crime!"...She died after taking the first mouthful of food.

The two daughters, upon the death of their mother, then confessed, revealing that they had entered into communion with familiar spirits that had assisted them with their schemes. This of course meaning Rutterkin. Rutterkin then disappeared from England and has been in hiding ever since. He wishes to live as he now does. Protected by User not found: wretchen, he is cared for and no longer reminded of his past sins.
