History:
It is said many things stem from the imagination and that such a thing can be more powerful than knowledge that you could spend your how life learning about. However, no matter the power of imagination as we grow it fades into the back of our mind while "common" knowledge takes its place. Living in a universe parallel to your own my kind grew up with a stronger sense of the unreal and the true power that could be unlocked in the mind. As a baby I was granted a gift that the elders saw worthy of placing in me, a gift that would come to protect earth from an ancient enemy. The human world was slowly slipping into darkness as our world had been centuries ago and our kind would not allow them to suffer a fate that could be prevented. I became a symbol of 'the light' my skin changing to white and soft marks of magic splashed onto my body rippling in patterns over one another as if they are alive. I was not alone in receiving this gift, the elders had picked a group of us to protect a universe that was not our own, but I stand alone now. The darkness was pushed away and locked from the minds of the humans without them even being aware of the change. More and more now creativity and imagination are sparked in young minds and such powerful tools are great against a danger that may rise again. Even with their knowledge of the mind growing it is still a dangerous battlefield to tread and until they understand just how grand the mind is I fear they will never be able to win such a war. So for now I stand guard over the darkness as it stays safely tucked away. I know that it sleeps and may bide its time, but I have a strong feeling it will never rise to such power again.
