Ok really you don't have to, but if you want a bountiful garden and harvest I would highly suggest you do so. Be quick too, make sure you have your request ready and your token of appreciation on hand. If you do not have your token, your wish for a bountiful harvest may not come true. There will be no guarantees without the token.
Goddess Ceres will bless your fields, fruits, vegetables, and herbs if you worship her on a regular basis. Once a year is required to keep your fields and gardens lush. The Goddess does not ask for much for a trinket, just a small token of your appreciation towards her powers. She loves all things sparkly and shiny. Precious stones are of course top priority, however gold and other metals will do. However the richer the token, the more blessed your harvest will be. You will want to make sure the token is bright and shiny. So polish it well, and make sure it is clean. The Goddess does not like to get her hands dirty.
