The gem with the lowest solidity, Cinnabar patrols the beaches in the dark of the night. Because of their toxic body which can erode away the bodies of their sibling gems, Cinnabar is afraid to get close to anyone and so they live predominantly in isolation.

Having always been alone, Cinnabar doesn't trust easily, so when Phos appears and declares that they'll help Cinnabar, Cinnabar writes the whole thing off as ridiculous. It's a perfectly understandable assessment, seeing how everyone (even Cinnabar, all by their lonesome) knows that Phos has failed at everything they've tried so far. But, well, Cinnabar supposes that Phos at least seems to be trying their hardest, and with the string of bad luck they've been going through lately, Cinnabar won't call them a failure, not quite yet.
