Pain. Suffering. Fear. Madness.

To grow and become strong, these things are necessary. If there is no weakness, strength cannot exist. This duality exists everywhere - in many aspects of life: sorrow and joy, light and darkness, destruction and rebirth... The embodiment of this necessity is known by many names, but most know him as Remor. Few have the capacity to see his physical form, for he cannot appear very long in our realm, but his presence pervades all realms, giving all living creatures an ultimatum: overcome your hardships or drown in despair.

He is not merciful, and it would be best not to hope for sympathy from him. Remor feeds off of fear and despair, you see. Begging to be coddled - whether it be by him or others - only increases the severity of his punishments. Indeed: it is only when you face your fear, when your willpower exceeds his, that his respect can be earned. Even then, however, he does not stop trying to break you. That is his design.

It is not his job to show you kindness, but to take your darkest fears, rip them open, and force you to look upon the terror.
