Story

Hello, my name is BC and, I am a traveler in time. There are moments in history that must stay the way they are. For example, without the American Civil War, slavery would have still existed. If Lincoln had not been assassinated, he might not have been remembered at all. I am part of a society, a society of time-watchers, whose sole purpose is to ensure that the time-stream is correct; that there are no anomalies, no mistakes, no paradoxes, that Lincoln, as it were, was born in the correct time and the correct place so that his life and the choices he made throughout his lifetime were unchanged until that moment he became the 16th president of the United States.

Likewise, there are atrocious, horrendous moments in history that must also be preserved, preserved so that they do not happen again, such is the burden of the society of watchers that I am a part of. We are unknown, we are not seen, but we preserve the timeline so that events go on unhindered in the great time-stream of history

Additional Info: BC as he is more often known though, that's not his real name, has a clockwork cat he created from spare parts he scrounged from various eras, that he's named Tempus after the Latin word for time. Traveling across various timelines has a tendency to get rather lonely, after all.
