Behind the surface of the seen world, there exists an unseen world where, the creatures of mythology dwell and live. Shapeshit exists in this world, as he is a shapeshifter, able to morph into any form he so wishes. There are those in the unseen world that also live and travel between both worlds, the seen world and the unseen They do not advertise nor state their mythical status, as they fear what humans would do to them if they were to know of their existences.
Rather, unlike humans, they travel between both worlds, and eke out livings in both; their desire simply, like everyone else, to live lives free from danger, fear, and other complications. Shapeshift in the seen world goes by the name Marlowe and is a pawn shop owner by trade; he deals in the fantastical and the mythical, artifacts of magic and sorcery, that humans believe have powers but are actually fairly commonplace in the unseen world. Still, humans are willing to buy these artifacts for high prices and Shapeshift is more than willing to accommodate. Thus, he is able to make a comfortable living in both worlds, a life that allows him to live quite luxuriously.
