There are rumours that a vicious creature roams the seas between the coasts of Asia and North America. The people of Japan claim this monster to be a distant relative of Namazu. Either way very few have ever seen the beast, let alone survived the encounter to tell the tale.
Suijin was born from an old mask created from the remains of a shark and boat scraps. The spirit that possessed the mask was a vengeful one, sworn to protect the seas and its inhabitants. For the most part Suijin sleeps in the watery depths of the Pacific Ocean, only to awaken and wreak havoc on land when he feels threatened by those who disturb the sea.
