Mordecai is named after my real life living son, Mordecai! We call him Moe, Momo, or Mordy for short. DOB March 2020

Infant 0-1 Exhausting. Constant breastfeeding. Projectile poops. Cloth diapers. Micah is his BFF.

Age 1 More fun, learned some ASL to help with communication. Toddlin': learned to walk at 13 months.

Age 2 Potty trained, verbal language exploded. Less exhausting. Micah and Thaddeus are his BFFs.

likes: vinyl records, BOOKS, unicorns, word "games" (rhyming, blending), monster trucks, taking a shower, Finding Dory.
dislikes: eating dinner, daycare drop off, facetime with Connecticut family, when Zorki steals his food.

Age 3 Has a solid friend group at daycare (Micah, Thaddeus, Henry, Alex, Sage). I love talking and playing with him every day - Mordecai has an amazing vocabulary. He can write his nickname "MOE" without any support, and loves to sing his name song. He can count objects consistently to 30. Mordecai can decode and read some 3 letter words like "top" and "bus". Gator follows him everywhere.

likes: his hotwheels cars and transporter, sleeping on dad's arm, beetles, rainbows, the Taylor Swift song "Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince", reading books online with MyOn, gummies (used as bribery)
dislikes: grandma, waking up from nap time.

Age 4 the child continues to grow. His memory surpasses my own. He is very curious and asks a lot of questions about the meaning of words ("What is lethargic?"). He can write his name in lowercase letters, count to 100, and is learning more sight words.

likes: non-fiction books, the song "I Hate Everyone", Chuck E Cheese, SkyZone, the band McCafferty, Transformers.
dislikes: FaceTime, having to interact with others, sleeping by himself.

Age 5 I am so proud of Mordecai! He scored in the 99th percentile on his VPK reading test. He continues to score high on kindergarten tests. I love how Moe enjoys writing. He's starting to come out of his shell and getting more comfortable talking to new (and known) kids/adults. School friends: Isaiah, Dehki, Tylan, Royal. And OMG he can READ, like really truly read at a 1st or 2nd grade level. He tested into the gifted program, too!

likes: screen time (ugh), asking questions, dancing, painting his nails, writing, roller coasters, Legos
dislikes: bell peppers, swim lessons, ukelele lessons, soccer lessons, cold weather, being put on the spot, me
