There is very little known of the creature who calls herself Ellanui.

Here is what is known:

Ellanui is a verbal estimation of an abbreviation of her true name, which cannot be expressed by ordinary mortals... or by most supernatural beings, for that matter.

Ellanui is very often incomprehensible when she speaks, stringing words together in an unorthodox fashion. For her part, she often seems to have difficulty understanding others. She has been getting better at this over time.

Though she appears intact physically, she states that she has been "wounded" and therefore cannot travel. Once, when asked what she was wounded by, she replied "In time I time and world underflow serpent swarm flower flowing light essence. Thus wounded and pain she I and devour drinking. Movement is not and she is." No one is quite sure what she meant by that.
