It's finally Friday night and thank the skies for that. After a long day of work, you're ready to go out and have fun. I mean, work hard, play hard. Amirite? And today is just the perfect date for that. Your friends have invited you to the new club that has just opened downtown. Rumor has it that it's a throwback to the 1970s. Better get your retro outfit on, you wouldn't want to stand out like a sore thumb would you?

It's the year 3456 and boy has technology advanced since the 1970s. It's like what they all say, you was born in the wrong decade. Sike, you were born in the wrong decade, century, and millenium. That truly was the era of the best fashion, the best music, and duhh the only the best dance moves.

Once you get home, you tell your home system 'Aida' to put on some mood music. Yes, I said Aida, but no. It's not Siri. This is the great great great x 10 grandchild of Siri. Anyways, better get in the zone while you get ready as you have a tendency to back out last minute to kickback and watch your favorite show on the couch. Your hangout with your best buds is in an hour, and they're coming over to pick you up.

It's about a 25 minute drive downtown in your bestie's hover car but it's no big deal. The reviews have been raving about this place, and it's only been open for the last two hours. Damn social media. Luckily, with your friends, the time passes quickly as you guys hype up the new place but also reminisce about your guys' last hangout. There's a long queue winding down the block but it seems as if it's going quick. You guys wait in line and just chat it up, until you get to the front. Finally.

The robot with the funkiest afro holds looks like a mini lava lamp and it promptly scans your eye. After the scan, the reads out your name and your age, giving you a metallic thumbs up to go in. Your friends who were in front of you have already gone in, and are waiting for you at the coat check.

Together, you guys walk towards the dance floor of the club and just stand there in awe. It's literally as if they took the inside of a disco ball and puked up the the colors of a lava lamp. It refracted the lights from the center of the stage where the band was performing and shot off colors like a kaleidoscope.

Well, yeah, they look like they're having a time of their lives so you order a round for your friends. On the count of three.... 3, 2, 1. Well, that was disappointing. It tasted great but it just tasted like juice I guess. You guys walk over to the bar at the other end of the floor and then it hits. The most psychedelic experience of your life thus far.
