Slumping to the cold ground, your breaths become shallow gasps as you feel blood slowly creep out. The battle had taken its toll. You knew that your time in this world was coming to an end.
As your vision fades, a bright glimmer of light catches your attention. Focusing hard, you make out what looks to be a large winged creature. It gradually made its way towards your limp body. Its form shimmering in the light. It's unlike anything you've seen: a mix of feathers and fur on a caprine form sporting multiple wings. A pair of vivid, icy blue eyes studied you intently through the two small wings on their head.
You try to speak at it, but your voice is weak. The creature crouched closer and gently touched your hand with its muzzle. Suddenly you hear a voice ringing through your head.
"Don't be afraid. You have fought well and now it is your time to rest."
Hearing those words, a calm washed over you. Feeling yourself being lifted from the ground, carried upwards on agile wings.
The world beneath faded away. Soaring higher and higher. Darkness became pure radiant light.
