You were built for this. You're already in the void.
It was not what you wanted, but it was life and all its demands. Do this, do that, get a good job, a house; you know it sounds familiar. And it's not bad, it could be two shitty minimum wage jobs stacked on top of each other instead. What did you want anyways?
As the days slip by, you wonder if this current existence is all there is. Wake up, drive to work, work, drive back home, eat dinner, and now it's 8pm. But what else could there be? You, your ancestors, your offspring will all toil until death. You are tired some days, but it's not the hardest job. Somehow different every day but always the same feeling, but at least no unpaid overtime. It's paid. Don't worry.
There's no memories. The days just pass and there's no sense of time and hardly any memories. To live a life of insignificance...
You wanted to ask someone, the older ones at work if there's anything more. Are they happy? Were they happy? Is this all there is, after decades, does it get any better or worse? But why would they talk to someone so beneath their stations and besides, it's hardly a professional topic to discuss about.
It's fine, it's boring, it's safe, it's the same, and dare you ask for anything more?
And you lose your days to death like water through a sieve and don't mind because they're worthless anyways.
