Cheryl works at her family's bakery. Outwardly, she presents a facade of relentless positivity and optimism while hiding her true feelings of insecurity and uncertainty. As an only child she struggles to balance her duties at the bakery with her own hobbies and interests. While she appreciates having a steady home and job she secretly yearns for more time to herself to develop her writing. She secretly thinks of her parents as overly critical and too traditional and can't help feeling stifled by their unwillingness to let her experiment both at the bakery, with her own passions, and even her own appearance. They were distraught when she first added green streaks to her hair and were only swayed when dozens of customers complimented her on them.
