He was alone. We watched silently form his seat on the porch as the blue and red lights glistening. Like stars in a broken, defunct two colored sky, they shone in the dark. A hopelessness settled in the pit of his stomach and he grimaced as once again another man approached him."Hey little buddy," the man called out in a sickly sweet voice, "Why don't you come sit with me over hear by the truck? We can get you all cleaned up, how does that sound."He continued to stare forward, saying nothing. The man grew frustrated and moved to grab his arm. He quickly wretched it out of his grip. "Don't Touch Me," he muttered, a snarl forming on his lips as he made sure to enunciate every syllable. The man stared down at him in confusion, before turning around and gesturing to the female behind him. She quickly walked over and they exchanged a few whispers, before both turning to look at him.He continued to look at the floor. The female looked down at him worriedly before crouching down at his feet. "Kid, we're going to have to move your mom soon, don't you want to come sit with us in the car?".He looked up at her."I know she's dead all right. She blew her brains out in front of me. Don't treat me like a kid." He spat the last word out with a lot of emphasis.The woman quickly turned to look at her partner before gesturing to him again. At the signal the man proceeded to lift him off the porch steps and into the air. Soon his wails filled the air and the woman quickly ran along behind them, making sure he didn't fall. By then it was too late, he'd attempted to scratch his way down the man's back and was quickly subdued before being placed in the vehicle.
