Despite all human appearances, Shirakat is actually an air elemental called a sylph. Born to a royal family of said elementals, Shirakat was raised lovingly until his family was betrayed and poisoned during a family feast. The only one who hadn't ate of the meal due to being ill at the time, the traitors almost killed him as well by other means before he was rescued by his companion fairy, Airielle. She absconded with him from the Land of Sylphs, giving him a pendant to turn him human, and taking him to the House of Loving Counsel where he's been raised in safekeeping to this day.
