I love to have a good time. Hang out. Watch movies and chill with my peeps.

I love to dance.

Music is EVERYTHING to me.
It's like oxygen. I can't live without it.

I think that's why I enjoy singing so much. It's almost like a release for me. Like by singing I can finally breath.

Everything just comes pouring out, all the hurt, fear, anxiety.
The notes just carry them all away and I feel this rush of, oh I don't know, freedom I guess.
Like I'm soaring and nothing in this world could possibly bring me down.

My girl Tara feels the same way.
She doesn't sing, not much, but the music she creates...
It's like she taps into me, the real me.
Not the girl everyone thinks is me.
Her music is everything that I am. Everything that I want to be.

I know that sounds crazy, and maybe it is, but that's what it feels like when I hear her music.
Like she took a chunk of my soul and put it into song.

It probably helps that we have known each other since grade school.
She's so much more than a friend to me. We're like sisters.
Lara too, although she's more like a mom than a sister to me.
We're only a year apart, but she practically raised Tara and me.
Our parents were too preoccupied to have anything to do with us much.
Sure they kept a roof over our heads, and food on the table sometimes.
But Lara was the one that usually cooked our meals, got us ready for school, made our brown bag lunches.
Taught me how to French braid my hair. How to ride a bike.
And she never once told me that my dreams were stupid.
That's more than I can say for my folks. When I told them I wanted to be a singer they looked at me like I asked for the moon or something.
Old man laughed right in my face.

Lara told me and Tara to go for it.
Told us that she would stand by us. That if there was anything she could do to help all we had to do was ask.
And you know what, she kept her word.
Not that I ever doubted she would.

Now I live in this huge, although weird, house with the two of them.
There are a couple of weirdos here, Derek and Dimitri. They're alright. Easy on the eyes too.
And our boss is smokin hot, even if he is a little crabby most of the time.

I love it when Liam comes by.
Those crystalline blue eyes. Those cheekbones that could cut glass.
My heart jumps into my throat every time he smiles at me.
It's a shame he always leaves before sun up. I would really like to spend more time with him.

Things are good here. Strange sometimes, but good.
Roof over my head, food on the table,
and as long as I am with my girls, I'm home.
