Alex Fierro

Name Meaning: Alex means 'defender of men'. Fierro means 'iron'. So together, that is 'Iron Defender of Men'.

Age: 16

Parentage: Son of the human, Mr. Fierro, and the Norse god Loki

Appearance: Petite and very slim, with an ethereal beauty. Has medium length green hair, and one dark brown eye and one light amber eye, and pale skin.

Preferred clothing: Typically dresses exclusively in various shades of pinks and greens, with an occasional white or black accent thrown in. Prefers gender-neutral clothing when casual, but likes to get dressed up - in either fancy suits or beautiful dresses, depending on what gender Alex is feeling at that moment.

Weapons: A weapon that looks similar to a clay cutter, made out of gold given and created by the Norse goddess Sif. The wire is solid gold and impossibly sharp, and the handles are also made of gold, and when they're side by side, they look like two serpents intertwined.

Abilities:
Alex is genderfluid and able to change her physical appearance at will, just exactly like Loki. While Loki took the form of a male to sire Alex's half-sister, Samirah, Loki actually gave birth to Alex as a woman.

Like her mother, Alex can take the form of any other living thing at will. Favorites include a cheetah, an elephant, and a horsefly - something she and her half-sister Samirah have in common.

Strength and Agility: Alex is very strong thanks to being an einherji - she's capable of fighting and killing dragons and legendary wolf monsters with ease.

Immortality: Like Magnus, Alex is immortal - assuming she is in Valhalla. Outside of Valhalla, Alex is capable of being killed - again.

Personality: Alex is cautious, sarcastic, and definitely not afraid to say things most others would be too shy to say. This demigod is genderfluid, and so, is used to being bullied and ridiculed quite extensively because of it. Alex's own father made the decision to force her out of their house and onto the streets, ashamed of the child he'd made with Loki. Because of this, Alex learned how to survive on the streets with no one to rely on. Smart, witty, and intense, Alex doesn't let people close, for many, many reasons. Note: will throw pottery when angry. And maybe turn into a gorilla and smash you if you say something stupid.


Delving Deeper:

Alex's father was a very wealthy businessman with a beautiful trophy wife when he first met Loki. The trickster god took the form of a very tall, beautiful, and voluptuous redhead, and allowed herself to be seduced by Mr. Fierro. When Loki dropped their baby off several months later for him to raise, Mr. Fierro expected his child, Alex, to conform to his ideas of what a good son should be. Unfortunately for Mr. Fierro, Alex was genderfluid and transgender, feeling female 80% of the time, and male around 20% of the time. Her father did not like that very much, and abused Alex greatly for not conforming to his ideas of masculinity. Forced outside of her home, Alex was forced to learn how to survive on her own if she wanted to live. One fatal battle with the same wolves that murdered Magnus's mother, and Alex then found herself transported straight to Valhalla via Samirah al Abbas, her half-sister, who is also a Valkyrie that works directly for the wise all-father god, Odin.

As the residents of Floor 19 quickly found out upon her arrival, Alex takes crap from absolutely no one, and will not let you misgender her - or him, depending on what pronouns she requests for that moment. And Alex will make sure to tell you whenever she shifts genders, so there's no confusion.

Like Magnus, Alex loves camping, summer, and being outdoors, and has a strong distaste for the lifestyles of the rich and powerful. The two demigods actually have a lot in common. They'd even met each other before in a shelter before either of them knew about the world of the Norse gods. Now that they're both enjoying their afterlife in Valhalla, they're getting to know each other. Magnus, at least, seems to think Alex is completely stunning and amazing, and has been caught openly staring at the child of Loki multiple, multiple times. And judging from the way she smiles at him and teases him, the affections are returned - even if she still throws pottery at him when he's annoying.
