DreamWorld is a popular Queensland Theme park in Australia. Located on the Gold Coast, it is considered the most popular out of the theme parks. With many different rides, there is much to do but there is one ride in particular that is quite popular due to the fact it is considered family friendly.
Thunder River Rapids is a water ride where up to six people can sit in a tube and have a journey down a river then up two steep dips and go into the water at a quite fast speed.
The ride is part of a lot of childhood memories, even adulthood memories. Memories of laughter as the tube hits the water for a final time before you get off the ride.
It was the first ride that I wasn't scared of going on so when there was incident involving the ride on 25/October/2016, it hit me hard. It shouldn't have happened and I feel so sad for the families of the victims.
Queensland and Gold Coast won't forget this incident. This affects the whole city, the ambulance officers and the employees but more important the children who witnessed it.
