He is the Angel of Destruction - Abaddon.

Before he became Abaddon he was one of the Angels of the Sword, serving under cruel and egoistic Archon - Jaldabaoth. During one of Daimon's missions that happened to be watching over creating of the Earth, pure evil known as Anticreator tried to disturb the process. Daimon decided to stop him at all costs, and has stolen from the sanctuary the Key which belonged to the God himself. His plan worked, and he stopped the Anticreator by opening with the Key the Void which sucked in the army of Darkness. However... despite all the good Frey did, stealing the Key was considered an unforgivable crime, Jaldabaoth was furious (of course he wasn't fond of Daimon from the very beginning and he had more than one reason to want him dead), and called for his public execution. The very moment Daimon died, he was brought back to life by the God himself and turned into the Angel of Destruction - Abaddon. He became a very powerful creature capable of destroying whole worlds and universes with his sword - the Star of Annihilation - Daimon became a tool in Creator's hand.
