Hi! My Name is Achilles! I'm a small black/Ghost tan Dachshund mix!I was born in early March 2016. I can't tell you much about my life before I met my family in october, but I didn't grow up with any other dogs to play with, and I probably had some small children in the house that weren't very gentle with me. In late September 2016, I was running around the streets and got hit by a car. I lost one of my legs. I can't you tell weather the person who hit me took me to the shelter, or if I was found in the street after the accident, but after my leg was amputated and I was put on the lost and found list of various shelters. No one came back for me. :(My dad found my picture online and fell in love with me, not knowing a little piece of me was missing. I was supposed to be a surprise gift for my mom's birthday, but when my dad came to visit me the shelter worker told him that I had lost my leg. I was still healing, and no one was allowed to visit. I was very lonely. He came home and told my mom about me instead, and she fell in love with me too.I met my mom (and was adopted) on October 3rd 2016.While I bonded very well with my new family(They're so gentle and calm and nice!) I was terrified of any other person or animal. It took my mom almost a week to teach me that the family cat Vinny, isn't anything to be afraid of. Now he's my best friend. :) I love to chase him and wrestle all day long. My mom's takes me to the dog park almost every day, so now I know that other dogs are my friends! She's still trying to teach me that other people are friendly, but unless they have something yummy to feed me I don't really want anything to do with them. continue~~~~~(WIP)
