Nott Mimickyu

When I was little the other children told me I was not pretty, I was not smart, I was not talent, just... a Nott.

It was a small village, we didn't get many visitors but one day people came in colourful caravans. They wore beautiful clothes with many colors that sparkled and shone. The women danced on high wires gracefully, the men balanced plates on delicate sticks and the animals, Oh the animals! I had never seen a black and white bear before, how beautiful it all was.

The villagers chased them away calling them names, but for just a little while, the world was full of colour and joy.

I was a Nott, I know I'm just a Nott but how can something so beautiful be a bad thing? How can something that made you happy and filled you with colour be unwanted?

The other children said I was weird because I used to cover everything with colours. Paint when I had it, chalk when I didn't. I even asked the older ladies to keep aside the more colourful scraps of cloth they didn't need for sewing and turn them into pretty tablecloths or dresses for my dolls.

There was one boy that didn't mind what they said about me. Who never called me names or pulled my hair. During the harvest festival one year he gave me my first kiss. I don't know if the others dared him to do it or if he had a bit too much cider but it was nice. He seemed to like it too and we got closer and closer as the year came to an end.

He was very clever, my boy. His words beautiful and letters neat, not like the others that scribbled and spoke carelessly. I painted with my chalk but he used words as his paint and they turned into the most colourful tapestries.

He was modest, my boy. Kept saying he was not clever enough or well read. Nonsense, he was! He just needed to see it like I did. He was most definatly not a Nott!
He always spent his money on stupid things like a house for us or food. Said we might need it for a rainy day. Silly of him really, rain was good for the harvest after all. I used mine to get more important things, books for him to make him cleverer, paint for me to make things prettier. Money should be used correctly after all.

Ours was a small house but out of it came the most amazing tales. Princesses in distress, daring knights and gigantic dragons. Whenever he said he was not enough I'd tell him that no this Nott didn't have enough yet! After awhile I wasn't sure if my paintings inspired his tales or if his stories were behind my paintings.

They called us weird, they called us different. Different can be beautiful. Weird can be interesting. I might be a Nott, but inside everyone I see just a little bit of me. That little voice that says you are Nott enough. To that voice I show what I did yesterday, what I'm doing today and what I'm planning to do tomorrow.

To that voice I show my worth, every single day and it's not something that mimics another. This is me and mine, forever and always filling the world with the most beautiful colors. Rather than listing what is Nott, it is far more prettier to show what is, at least that is what I think.
