“I’m a magical girl?!” the girl squealed in delight, her blonde curls bouncing jubilantly with each little jump she made.

Lunafreya nodded fervently “Yes...yes you are!”

I hope I didn’t pick another dud yet again Lunafreya thought disdainfully to herself

The girls blue eyes were affixed on the small dainty faerie as Lunafreya spun around in the air as sparkles of pale lilac light glistened and swirled around and a small brooch was summoned from thin air floating in front of the girl.

Again she squealed and gleefully grabbed the brooch in her hands, ogling at the sparkling garnet gem set in a gold circle with an ornate design.

“That is your transformation brooch!” she hovered near, half-heartedly smiling at the girl. She gave her a big fake smile and the girl bought it.

“So tell me faerie! How do I transform!” the girl pinned the brooch to the front of her plainly looking dress and spun around.

Shout I’m annoying you already aren’t I, Lunafreya!? The faerie contemplated saying it…

“Why you must shout ‘Oh great Selinia, Queen of the Faeries, grant me strength!’ “she exclaimed happily

The girl immediately halted her spritely spinning and held out her arms, “Oh great Selinia, Queen of the Faeries, grant me strength!” and immediately the girl was enveloped by ribbons and swirls of blinding light and in an instant, she was clad in foreign garb. Her blonde locks had grown twice their size and placed in a ponytail held up with a striking gold clasp. A tiara with a matching garnet was now upon her forehead and the marking of the fae on her cheeks. Her plain dress was replaced with a pink bodysuit that had a lavish gold design etched upon it with an oversized bow attached to the back. Matching white thigh-high boots and white gloves complimented the overall ensemble along with earrings and a gold choker. The brooch was still attached on the front, the garnet gleaming bright.

“I did it! I’m a magical girl!” she squealed again and spun around, the long ribbons on the back bow swirling with her.

“Indeed you are! But you must keep this a secret and you must agree to help my kingdom and its people with protecting us from the shadows!”

It wasn’t entirely true what Lunafreya was saying, she just wanted to sell it off to the girl as a grand thing. Lunafreya was sent to this world as a cleanup crew and had to employ the use of people in this world to do the cleaning. Being a sidekick to these girls though always gave her a headache and a majority of them gave up on the duty while the others failed miserably against the shadow creatures that had leaked over to this world from her forest homeland. They were pretty much eradicated from her world, but quite a few had scurried across to other worlds and adapted themselves to the shadows. Queen Selinia was adamant about having her most trusted faeries to go and defeat the remaining escaped shadow creatures. Lunafreya was one of the unfortunate ones.

“Yes yes! I accept!” the girl ecstatically spoke and her eyes gleamed with excitement.

“Alrighty then, here I shall bestow upon you a wand of the faeries! Please use this to defeat the shadows creatures!”

Lunafreya held out her hands and a glistening golden wand appeared with a star on the top with a large gem in the center. A pink ribbon was wrapped around the handle and a small charm of a set of faerie wings dangled freely at the bottom.

The girl swiped the wand without a second thought and twirled it around like a baton.

Lunafreya rolled her pink eyes, Don’t I get a thank you or anything?

“I’m so excited! But I’m tired, may I start tomorrow?” the girl pleaded to the faerie

Lunafreya hung there for a second

“But the shadows are dangerous! They’re faerie eaters! We must take care of them right away!” her white hair that was in a tight neat bun had started to come undone from the faeries frantic movements

“I’m a magical girl now though! You can stay here and I’ll protect you!” the girl winked to the faerie and Lunafreya let out a sigh.

What have I just dug for myself? The shadows were not a danger to faeries and didn’ eat the fae folk at all. The only thing that the shadow creatures did was eat flowers. Queen Selinia loves flowers and didn’t want to see other worlds lose their flowers due to the shadow creatures.

“That means sleepovers!” the screamed so loud that it shook Lunafreya and she flew down to the girl's vanity and sat down.

“No! No sleepovers!”

“But you’re in danger faerie! You have to stay here!”

Lunafreya sighed again and reluctantly agreed to stay

“Yay! Also, my name is Maria and yours, faerie?”

The faerie sat disdainfully on the vanity “Lunafreya”

“Hi, Lunafreya! It’s time for bed!” The girl grabbed the poor faerie and cuddled her as if she was one of the many stuffed animals scattered upon her bed.
