The rain and the leaves are alike in their Fall, for they will. It isn't much of a time to look up to the grey, menacing skies. Not when so much happens around you. The Forest is busy. Whatever lives now gathers and harvests, for the warmth is escaping and abundance won't last. Nothing ever does. Trees are wearing their coat of moss and mushrooms appear in the blink of an eye, little spur of surprises either delectable or deadly. The fresh wind making the scorched leaves twirl is an augure of the sheer tingliness of the frost that is to come, almost like a warning. It is inevitable. Time will stop for the living, and will come the reign of silence.

But it won't last. Nothing ever does, remember?

As always, nature will rest and heal. I trust Luthica with this. For now, I watch.
