Life Excerpt

He’d been feeling a bit bored at home. Not that he didn’t have anything to do there. He had only arrived in this place a couple of days ago so he was still making his new living space feel more like home. But he needed some air. And a break from thinking about what should go where in that place.
He had no idea where he was going as he was wandering around the town. So, he just wandered aimlessly, almost listlessly looking at his surroundings. He did like the way nature had been preserved outside the town. It made it a little easier for him to feel like home here. The buildings were very strange looking for him though. He was used to a completely different kind of architecture than this. He seemed to recall the people here calling the time he was from for...medieval. And this well, apparently these houses and other buildings were considered...modern? Ugly more like. He chuckled to himself. He was pretty sure that some of the people here would take offense to that.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of metal hitting wood repeatedly. He recognized the sound as someone using a weapon on a wooden training dummy. Intrigued he went towards the sound. Once he arrived he was happy to have made that decision. What he saw was a strapping elven man training vigorously. His magnificent torso was on display as he didn’t have any form of shirt on. Some form of tattoos and sweat were the only things covering said chest. What intrigued Korithas even more was the fact that this man was hitting the dummy perfectly even though he was wearing some form of blindfold. As if he could sense the eyes upon him the elf suddenly stopped what he was doing and turned his head towards Korithas.
-”Can I help you?” The low and almost rumbling voice of this elven man made his skin feel tingly in a delicious sort of way. He walked over until he was next to the dummy. He looked the elf over from top to toe now that he was much closer and couldn’t help but bite his lower lip. One of the elf’s long eyebrows lifted, expressing the inquisitive look he was giving Korithas.
-”I sure hope so.” The elf chuckled.
-”Liking what you see, huh?” Korithas gave him a warm and sultry smile as he took a couple of steps forward. He was now right in front of this handsome man. Reaching up he put a hand on one of those perfect pecs before looking up at his face.
-”Very much so. As for whether you can help me or not...” Leaning in closer until his mouth was right by the elf’s right ear he added in a sultry whisper “...I’m feeling a bit bored being on my own. But I’m sure us getting to know one another better could remedy that.” The elf seemed slightly taken aback by the suggestion but quickly recovered his composure.
-”Um, okay. Well, aren’t you a bit forward? We don’t even know each other’s names...” Korithas smiled.
-”Who needs names for what I have in mind?” The elf chuckled and shook his head a little as he smiled.
-”Still...” Korithas rolled his eyes in an overly dramatic way.
-”Fine. Have it your way.” He took a step back and did a noble bow towards his new acquaintance. “My name is Korithas. A pleasure to make your acquaintance.” The response he got was more chuckling and then a similar bow from the elf. He seemed to be very much accustomed to that kind of thing. Interesting, thought Korithas.
-”The name’s Vyaetharn Felbane. And uh...the pleasure is all mine.”
-”I certainly hope that we’ll both be pleased after this.” Korithas added with a wink.
