He could barely contain his excitement as her small feet padded closer on the carpet. If not for the fact he was unable to move- at least when being watched, he'd have jumped for joy! A new adventure was about to be unfolded, and it was always such a treat to see his owner smile. Xiaosaurus felt the vibrations on the carpet as the child plopped down, putting a hand on his back as well as his friend's; a pleasant triceratops named Tricey, of all things. At least she had grown to like the name.
As for himself…well, his child could sort of pronounce what type of dinosaur he was.
"Yay! Time for an adventure with Tricey and Xia! We're gonna go exploring!"
Close enough.
As she moved him and Tricey into her green-eyed view, his vision went black, the world then swirling with odd colors and shapes as the child took them to a far away land.
Blinking, the raptor-like dinosaur found himself standing alongside Tricey- the larger olive-pattered triceratops looking rather amused at the landscape they all appeared in. The trees towered over them, huge ferns and palms taken from all the books his owner had read, coupled with her own imagination.
She looked about the same, but was a large as adult, a subdued 'explorer' backpack on her with a thick walking stick in hand. Clearly prepared to explore this strange new world, she also had a small sleeping bag tied at the bottom of her pack; which itself was stuffed with snacks; such as gummy bears, apples, chocolate, and other essential foods.
"We're in the middle…Jurrbisic period." She stated, pointing with her stick to a large path that led through the trees. Of all the books she had read, there were still things she had trouble remembering. But, it was more than Xia and Tricey knew at least.
"We have to go there! Somewhere in that forest are some eggs. We have to save them from the bad……." She pouted briefly, the complicated name escaping her. "The flying dinos! They want to eat them! Lets go!"
Xiaosaurus happily followed as his child led them down the path, the world now in her control. Every playtime was different, every adventure a new thing that sprang from his child's mind. He wasn't sure how much was technically accurate; but as long as she was happy, he'd enjoy each adventure to the fullest.
