She opened up her curtains on the bright Sunday morning, letting the sunlight come shining into her bedroom. She smiled down at her plants sitting on her windowsill. “Good morning my little ones, how are you all doing this beautiful morning?” Now some might believe her to me crazy talking to her plants, but it's something the young lady always did. Told from her mother, and grandmother, it was a sure way to make plants grow big and strong. Truth be told, it also brought her peace to talk to her plants, she always had little conversations with them, about her day, the weather, or what was going on in her life; it always made her feel better. The plants; the little growing family sitting on her windowsill brought the girl comfort. They were always there to greet her, day and night. She smiles again, grabbing the little spray bottle she kept on her bookshelf, “you guys could use some water now couldn’t you?” she asked her little budding plants. She went by the line of plants. Starting with her first succulent, “hello there buddy, how are you doing? I bet you're enjoying the sunshine today? Aren’t you?” She sprayed the plant lightly, dampening its soil. She softly petted and touched one of the leaves of the plant, as a way to both bring comfort to herself and perhaps the plant itself. She slowly moved down the row of plants, giving each one a small amount of water, as to not drown the plant, or harm it. While muttering to each and every one, quietly chatting to them as she gave them their water. After being watering her little plant family, she moved on to her other morning chores; till it was time to leave the house for today's busy, bustling day.

…. …. …. ….
“I’m home!” the girl says in a tired, but cheerful voice, going to her plants, she greets them, “hello there guys! what a day, I had, you wouldn’t believe it!” she sighs and sits down on her bed across from her window, (and her plants) Another sigh escapes her, the girl focus on her plants in front of her, as she tells them about her day, the ups, the downs, and the all in between. She grins as she finishes her tale, “I have a surprise for you though!” She leaves the room for just a moment, before returning with a small brown paper bag, going to her windowsill she presents the bag to her plants proudly, before reaching into and taking out, relieving a small plant. “I got you guys a tiny friend!” She smiles again, “now I gotta get this guy a better place to nest, then he can join you, I’ll be back before you know it!”

…. …. …. ….
She once again leaves the room, with the tiny new friend in hand. Before reaching the shed outside, that housed her garden soil, she grabbed an old mason jar no longer in use. Making her way outside, she placed the little plant and mason jar on the small outside table. Going to the shed she grabbed her hand trowel, and her bag of soil and brought it to the table. She sat down and began filling the mason jar with a soil base. Gently taking the plant, she placed it the jar. “I think this will fit nicely for you little guy,” she said with a smile. She filled the spaces around the plant with soil. She pats the soil down now and then and placing layering down more soil till it was completely full. “There you go!” The girl smiled, “now to get you some water!” Quickly going inside she grabs a little glass, and fills it with water; returning to the plant outside she gives it a splash of water. “There you go, all nice and cosy in your new home, and watered!”

… … … …
After returning the supplies to the shed, she grabs the plant and goes into her room. Walking towards her windowsill she smiles, “now to join your new family little guy!” The girl places the plant tenderly down on the windowsill next to the other plants. “There you go,” she says softly.

… … … …
With a smile, the girl grabs her phone from her pocket and starts to take a few photos of the new plant, along with the familiar plants. “Time to show off your new family member!” she giggles a bit. Looking through the photos, she takes the ones she likes most, quickly editing them, and placing them onto Instagram.
