The fan shivered with excitement as he walked with the crowd into the arena. He had been waiting for this as soon as they announced Vancouver was hosting the Winter Olympics. It was USA vs Canada, "This is going to be a close game, I can feel it!" Canuck cried as the Canadian jersey-clad crowd cheered. Easily finding their way through the ticket booths and into the concession area, yells coming from different booths.
"Hot Popcorn!" "Come get your souvenirs!"
Weaving through the crowds Canuck got his beer and his popcorn, looking at his ticket he rechecked his seat number and followed the signs. Walking to the top of his row he could get a clear view of the rink, the hockey players practicing on their respective sides. Canuck looked for his favorite player, Crosby, and spotted the Captain, 87 near the goals. Finding your seat is easy when your best friend was wearing what looked to be all of the souvenirs from the booth. "Tim! Did you rob the booth?" Chuckling he sat down setting his beer in the cup holder, his friend turning, "Eh?" Tim's french accent was heavy as he looked at Canuck."I don't know what you're talking about."

The game was beginning to start, the referees signaled to the players. The game was off to a good start, Canada getting the first goal. Canuck was right when he first stated that it would be a close game. It was also the most watched hockey game, drawing in over 22 million Canadians watching on TV. Sidney Crosby Scored the game winning goal in overtime. The players lined up on the rink to shake hands, as the International Olympic Committee prepared for the ceremony, they lined up to receive their medals.
"Please stand for the playing of the National Anthem."
The Whole rink was filled with the Canadian National anthem.
O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee
