She knew she had to study, there was no other choice. She had exams coming up and there was no time to be day dreaming away. But the library was hot, stuffy and terribly dull and though there was no windows it was a sunny beautiful day out there. If she wasn't here at the library, she'd probably be by the river wrapped up in a book about a grand adventure. Something with pirates, and daring sword fights perhaps. It had always been Alice's dream to become a writer one day. She wanted to create a magical world of her own. Everything would be what it wasn't, talking animal, singing flowers, curiosities galore and adventures that would captivate an audience for decades. Or so she hoped for.
In the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of white run across the library. She looked around but saw nothing, and no one else in the library either. She decided it was time for a break from studying, as she had clearly gone mad and started seeing things. Then, she saw it again, this time being able to see that it was a large white rabbit. This time though, the rabbit didn't run away instead it stared at Alice from across the library. How on earth did a rabbit even get in a library she wondered, but she decided to find it and release it back outside so at least one of them could enjoy the nice day out.
She tiptoed quietly towards the rabbit, hoping not the scare the poor thing. It continued to stare at her, almost directly into her eyes. As Alice took a step forward, the rabbit would take a leap back. They continue to play this game of cat and mouse for a few turns, until the rabbit took off it a sprint. It caught Alice by surprise, but she took off after him. Having spent almost every free moment studying away at the library she knew the place like the back of her hand, so when the rabbit turned into what she knew was dead end she knew she had him beat. But when she turned the corner, the only thing that was there was a book on the ground.
Someone was calling to her. No, not someone, but the book itself. As she walked towards the book, the room around her started to become dark but she didn't notice. Slowly she reached out for it, unaware that her world around her was changing into a new one. Grabbing the book she read the title engraved in gold, "Wonderland". It was only then as she took her eyes off the book, that she noticed she wasn't in the library anymore, but a small room with only a glass table and a teeny tiny door.
