15th January:
I sometimes wonder if I'm an artist at all. I mix mediums, mix paints, and mix my metaphors. Is what I do art if people don't like it? I gave some of my art to family for Christmas. Of course, Julia was happy and loved it. My sister will always love what I do. But when cousin Billie made the joke it was a 'cheap present'... I don't think they realise how long I worked on each piece. Making sure it was just right. That hurt.

23rd March:
I wish paint was cheaper! Plus I really want a lens for my camera but it's almost the price of a car. Maybe if I stuck to only one medium it would work, but infusing photos and painting as well as using little items and print kinda means at least double the expenses!

16th April:
Still haven't got that long distance lens, but still did some photography nearby at a park today. I can be slack going out for reference shots or ones to use in the art. The day was lovely with blue skies. I also need some overcast but not raining days for some gloomy shots.

9th June:
A friend suggested looking up local classes run by the council, and I found a few including photography and painting! Thankfully they're only a few dollars to attend, so have signed up for them! Will see how they go.

28th June:
The classes have been fun and have met some amazingly talented people. The painting teacher has had some exhibitions which is awesome! I think I actually attended one some years ago. He's also experimented with mixed media but not in all his paintings. He's very encouraging, as is a lot of the class, and it's helped me to do more art in general.

17th September:
My art is getting better! I've learned so many techniques and easier ways to do different effects it's unreal. I can express my message so much more effectively. I've even started getting more of a following on social media! I'm still not sure about selling them, although I've had some enquiries, and have zero clue what to price them as.

12th October:
OMG!! A small art gallery in a nearby city wants me to be part of an exhibition of new artists!!! I'm soooo excited and nervous and.... omg! It's on in a couple of weeks and now I have to decide what to enter! And they want prices! ARGHHHHH!

29th October:
IT STARTS TONIGHT!! I even got a new outfit that's a bit flashy, I hope it doesn't look like I'm pretentious. My painting instructor helped me figure out prices, but I still think they're too high. Ohhh I hope it goes well! I have fingers, legs, heck even eyes crossed for luck. I even asked Hephaestus to be kind. Wish me luck!

30th October:
omg that was the best night of my LIFE! I felt so accepted, and some people said my art was AMAZING! Some friends from my classes were there, including my instructor. He said he was very proud with one of his people having an exhibit. I mean, there was several new artists there exhibiting, not just me, but he made it sound like it was a sole exhibit! I also just got a text that 5 items of my artwork sold!!! Like!??!?! Does that make me a real artist now?? I've been crying, I'm so happy.
