Hade totally belongs in my Modern Magic group of pets that I've started working on. I'd like to make him Myrsella's partner. He's a therapist by profession and by nature is a wise, kind-hearted, easy-going, and insightful person. He struggles at times with balancing his professional role with his own welfare, but Myrsella is very attuned to him and quick to "check in" on him when his work becomes heavy. He's a fan of journaling. His story overall will have a "theme" of "balance" and notes of "caring for yourself and for others". As a small nod to his name's meaning, I'd like him to be a geology / geological history buff who utilizes a lot of geology metaphors in his work. This also ties in well with Myrsella as she works with crystals and stone. I'm also thinking about making him Xolia's brother, further tying together characters.
As far as looks go, I imagine him as tall and trapezoid build. He has a welcoming smile and tends to look either concentrated or insightful, as his brain is often assessing things around him (even against his own will sometimes lol). His black hair is kept short, a stylish fade with volume on the top. He has his motorcycle license but often prefer to walk or ride a bike. He often carriers a satchel since he works on his laptop doing virtual consultations / sessions and carries it and his notebooks and planner around.
I'm still working out how I am going to wrap magic and a modern world into each other, it's a new challenge for me! But I like the idea of Hade having "space" themed magic. Something about connection to the universe, which I think is fitting for his nature and profession. I'm also working out what everyone looks like when it comes to magic, some are full shifters who transform into animals / creatures, some tend to look human. I like the idea of Hade having a magical "form" where he has angel wings that have a space look (like, vs white feathers).
I'd like to make Hade a blacklight telenine, and I'd probably get him an overlay from dalice or folklorist to exchange the colors for galaxy pattern to fit his magic!
