Chrimsons ealiest memory is of playing with a human child. Being such a young human, it wasn't aware of what would hurt the Feli. Likewise, the young Feli didn't know human limits. In self-defense Chrimson ran her claws across the childs arm, and it ran away screaming.
Later, an adult talked about taking her away. The large hand reached down to her and in fear because of her experience, she attacked again. The human grabbed a blanket and pushed it down on the Feli. Terrified she clawed her way out of it, leaping at the human. She clawed his face, over and over again. He fell, she kept attacking. Until the human wouldn't fight back anymore.
She briefly looked at the mess she had made and turned around to never see that place again.
Out in the streets all by herself she met other, humanless pets. Pets who had been abandoned by owners who they thought loved them, pets which had been experimented on, pets who had been mistreated.
In these strays she saw the life she could have faced if she wouldn't have defended herself.
She felt sorry for their misery and inability to protect themselves. In her district of Centropolis, a more run-down area of the city, she riled up all the tortured strays she could find and gave them a promise: That no human shall ever harm them anymore, that they will train to fight them and that she will protect them at any cause.
Back with reinforcements, she brutally forced her old owners out of their house. And she would do so with anyone who attempted to take any part of this place away from her and her strays.
