My mistress had the good taste to take on my services, binding our interests together for the rest of her limited life with an option on my services to the next generation. I have had many lifetimes to perfect my craft. Cooking, cleaning, gardening, decor, managing, protection, attitude... as butler I can do it all.
Of course, I did have some rebellion in my younger days as a disembodied spirit, really tore it up. Well, tore everything up. I spent a few years as a poltergeist, but it got stale being a unliving temper tantrum. Tempering my temper like a good sword I learned it is better to unleash Hell only on those who bother my manor or mistress, it cuts down on the mess. We do prefer things tidy here.
