Profile

The smells coming from her homey kitchen were warm, comforting and always tempting.

She checked the recipe book laying open in front of her again as she mixed the ingredients in the large baking bowl. The pages were slightly crinkled and stained from getting bits of batter and ingredients spilled on it through the years. Fresco Rosa had many wonderful recipe books but this was her favourite. She knew most of the recipes by heart. She had a bountiful sweet tooth and always loved sampling her creations, but what brought her the most satisfaction was seeing someone else's joy while tasting her delicious sweets. Her pastries and baked goods were just as beautiful to look at as they were to eat - often almost too pretty to eat. A stray bit of batter flung up from the bowl as she stirred and landed on her paw. She liked the bit of sticky batter from her fur and smiled to herself. If it tasted this good already, imagine how good it would be when it was finished baking! She carefully measured the batter out into cupcake tins and placed it into the oven. She couldn't wait to line up all of her daily creations in the window of her little bakery and see the smiles on her customers faces as they picked out their favourites.
