Hi, my name is Gerard and I was once a experiment animal in a laboratory. I was strapped down, had a tube shoved down my throat, then a man named James poured 1/2 cup of bleach down my throat. As I convulsed, he simply wrote down data and when he was finished, he threw me into the trash. After a few minutes, he came back to check for signs of life. My breathing was so shallow that he presumed I was dead. He took me by one leg and tossed me into a bin that is taken to the to blast furnace, where I was to be burned. You see, they dont bother to end the animals suffering after they are done with the experiments, that would cost too much. I did manage to escape from the bin, as the furnace was only lit every other day, I managed to get outside and slowly drag myself away. Luckily, CrazyBirdLady found me and nursed me back to health. I am nothing like I was before the bleach, my skin has become clear and my eyes have a creepy glow. My blood is no longer red, but like water. However, I am alive, and for that, I am grateful. ============================================================While shampooing your hair have you ever stopped to think about how many rabbits were blinded to test that your product didn’t make your eyes tear? When you take that aspirin or daily vitamin do you think of how many monkeys were overdosed to find out potential side effects? When doing your laundry do you think of how many mice were doused with bleach to find how it affected your skin? Probably not, because these are not things that we as people are conscious of. To many of us it doesn’t matter who or what has suffered so we can have the luxuries that we enjoy. Just like how we don’t like to think of the children in sweat shops making our trendy clothes. In some situations it’s simply that people don’t realize the horrors that go into making the things they use every day. Source: Excerpt taken from Wiki Classroom/underground reporter
