Accidentally brought to life by stray magic in Zohra's garden, and canny enough to survive the endless cycles of floods, deaths and re-wildings of her domain, this fascinating little predator camoflages itself as a giant pansy.

You can tell it's a predator, on account of its' forward facing eyes, and appetite for unsuspecting pollinators. Its' roots lay close to the surface of the soil, so as to pick up even the slightest changes in electromagnetic currents. Watch this frog as it hops up for a drink of dew, as soon as it lands on the edge of that pot like structure, the head of the 'flower' will smack down upon it and, oop, yep there it goes.

Surprising amount of strike force there too. While Pansy Baby has some rudimentary mandibles, they're not large or strong enough to move food down its' gullet, so it relies on smacking its face down hard on top of frogs and other food that strays into its' path to be able to eat. This startling behaviour both stuns the food temporarily and forces the food inside its' face far enough, that the muscles in its' throat can grip on, to pull it all the way down into the vat of stomach acid that sits inside the pot like structure of its lower half.

From there the frog will be digested, it's minerals replenish the pot structure and it's nutrients the soil and striking body of the Pansy Baby.

The Keetenzlai, we have decided to call Neeeeaah (due to the noise it makes), is the only creature that's strayed into striking distance that Pansy Baby hasn't eaten. PB appears to have an affinity for the screaming cat plant, affection even one could say, as it's been known to occasionally feed and even shelter the beast among its' leaves.
