She loves art in all its forms — painting, drawing, the quiet focus of making something by hand. She also loves The Sims 4, good food, and the particular joy of finally going to a restaurant she's been wanting to try for ages.

She lives in São Paulo, Brazil, with her husband Bruno and their chihuahua Mochi.

Bruno grew up in Goiás, in the heart of Brazil — far from São Paulo, far from Mayumi. Distance, it turned out, was never an obstacle for someone willing to make the trip.

He is a musician. He plays guitar the way Mayumi paints — with attention, with feeling, with the kind of quiet dedication that doesn't need an audience.

In 2021, he packed up his life in Goiás and moved to São Paulo to be with Mayumi. In 2022, somewhere in Italy, he asked her to marry him.

He also loves The Sims 4. This matters more than it sounds.

They met online, the way many stories begin now. But the first time they saw each other in person — really in person — was June 6th, 2018. That was the day they made it official.

That date became everything. It's their anniversary. It became the birthday of this pet. And on June 6th, 2025 — seven years to the day — they got married.

Their wedding was small and intimate — a civil ceremony with close family, a room full of people who love them. The wedding cake was topped with a cookie decorated with cow plants from The Sims 4. Because that's them: warm, funny, completely themselves.

They both love The Sims 4. They both love food — finding new restaurants, exploring the city together. They share a dog. They share a home. They share the particular pleasure of a life built on a small, significant date.

In 2024, Mochi entered their lives and promptly made herself the center of them.

She is a chihuahua. She looks almost exactly like this pet's minion, Chiko — which is either a coincidence or proof that the universe has a sense of continuity.

She was held in Mayumi's arms at the wedding, wearing a little outfit of her own. She has a minion on this profile because of course she does.

Milestones

June 6th, 2018

They saw each other in person for the first time and made it official. Somewhere in Subeta, a Chibi Experiment was born on the exact same day.

2019

Bruno made the trip from Goiás to São Paulo once a month, every month. Long distance, but not for long.

2020

The pandemic kept them apart. No visits. No trips. Just messages across hundreds of kilometers — and, in November, a little Chibi Experiment adopted and named after them.

2021

Bruno packed up his life in Goiás and moved to São Paulo. They finally lived in the same city. The same home.

2022

Their first trip to Italy together. Somewhere in Italy, Bruno asked Mayumi to marry him. She said yes.

2023

A quieter year — the good kind. They explored São Paulo together, trying restaurants Mayumi had always wanted to visit. The city, slowly, became more theirs.

2024

Mochi arrived. A tiny chihuahua who immediately became the third most important person in the house.

June 6th, 2025

Married. A civil ceremony with family — white dress, white sneakers, a cookie wedding cake topper with two cow plants from The Sims 4. Seven years after that first June 6th. They also bought their first car together this year.
