Clove grew up in an extremely conservative family that, despite living in Pridd, worshiped the gods of Holdren. Even as a child, Clove knew he had to hide his growing magical abilities from his parents. However, as his power grew, this eventually became impossible; when he was about 13, his parents discovered his abilities and both badly beat him before banishing him from the family. He sought refuge in a damp cave and nearly succumbed to his injuries before being found by Virgil.
It turned out that Clove is actually a human-Elemental hybrid; his maternal grandmother was an Energy Elemental, though literally none of the features or abilities passed on to her daughter. Once he was in a nurturing and caring environment, Clove was able to learn to use his power to the fullest.
• Serves under Telamaine as the Sage of Energy
• Very long, sage grey hair streaked naturally with teal and almost unnaturally bright teal-blue eyes (both physical features of Energy Elementals).
• Tall, a little clumsy - sort of like a Great Dane puppy.
• Despite his rather sad childhood, he desperately wants to believe in the best of people. He is extremely loyal to both Virgil and Telamaine who not only accepted him without question but have encouraged him to be himself. Admires Ulysse’s optimistic outlook on life.
• Especially clever with embedding his magical powers into weapons, making him very dangerous to his foes.
• No piercings - has horrible trypanophobia and will hopefully never need stitches.
