I grab my Grimoire and immediately begin scribbling notes down. My latest potion innovations have worked! My love and appreciation for Mother Nature has come to fruition!
I finish writing the last few changes into my Grimoire and joyfully call for Ceridwen.
"Come see, Ceridwen!"
Ceridwen scurried over to my altar; the soft pitter-patter of her tiny feet echoed through my ears. She looked up to me, perked up her ears and twitched her silky white whiskers at me.
I grinned at Ceridwen, grabbed my newest potion, and excitedly uncorked it. I carefully sifted through my belongings, looking for something to test it on... Oh! I had found a hearty twig earlier while scavenging for spell ingredients. This will be perfect! I set the twig down on my altar and, with a steady paw, poured but one drop of my potion onto the twig. Nothing was happening. Disheartened, I stared at it through a thick layer of tears. But through the tears, I noticed movement. Green movement. I quickly wiped my tears away and was delighted with what I was seeing! My jaw dropped as I watched a vine grow and wrap itself around the length of the twig, along with leaves and beautiful little flowers sprouting on its way down. What a beautiful, harmonious moment! I pulled tiny Ceridwen into me for a tight hug. Letting go, I set her down on my altar and crouched down to look into her eyes.
"Now, I must use this on myself!"
I hastily clutched the potion, and this time with trembling paws, I held it up to my lips. Looking to Ceridwen for approval, I waited.
*squeak! squeak!* She jumped and danced about on my altar happily and anxiously. Closing my eyes, I put the potion bottle to my lips and quickly drank it. The potent floral and herbal notes softly graced my tongue. I felt a warm, tingling sensation growing throughout my body. Warmth enveloped my veins. Still closing my eyes, I could see flashes of green light accompanied by the soothing sounds of whispering winds. I could smell lavender, hibiscus, sage, and cedar on the enchanting breeze. I opened my eyes and watched a nature miracle right before my eyes. My soft fur was transforming to a luscious green. Beautiful flowers and vines were blossoming through my thick fur, and lush green leaves embellished them. Nature was cascading in and out of my body like a sweet waterfall! I smiled from cheek to cheek. This is ecstasy. This is pure bliss. Absolute serenity.
"She's here, Ceridwen. She's finally here."
Mother Nature was finally a part of me, and I would never, ever change it.
I lit a green candle to seal off my spell and smudged the air with a blend of sage and lavender.
"So mote it be!"
