“Hey, that creature looks like Dark Nebula!” a glade manchu exclaimed.

The glade manchu pointed at a riftborn blob who was arranging flowers. The manchu companion, a glade kumos, nodded in agreement. The riftborn blob, Jewele, tilted her head in confusion. She had been hearing such comments from other pets somewhat frequently over the last couple of weeks. Honestly, she didn’t know who this Dark Nebula was. Was he some character from television? Was he cool?

That evening Jewele conducted an internet search for Dark Nebula. The blob eventually discovered that Dark Nebula was an evil entity who had been accidentally released from its prison. Dark Nebula managed to possess a dashing mouse thief and set into motion his scheme to take over the planet. The planet’s fate would have been sealed if it wasn’t for the heroics of a young puffball creature. Using a magical star staff, the puffball defeated Dark Nebula and saved the planet.

Understandably, Jewele wasn’t too enthusiastic about being compared to an evil cosmic being. She mentioned it to her friends the next day as they were baking for a fair showcase.

“Just how strong is the resemblance between you and this ‘Dark Nebula?’” asked Tina, a cherry feli.

“Not too strong,” Jewele admitted, “the most we have in common is having one eye. Well, that and having no arms or legs.”

“So what’s the problem?” a steamwork zasaba named Geara replied. “It sounds like you think you need to carry a sign everywhere that says, ‘Ya’ll, I’m NOT Dark Nebula’!”
