Perhaps the best we can do,
is live fully in each moment,
with all our love pouring out, none held in reserve,
like a brilliant light, a place of joy.

Perhaps all that's real,
is the moment we are in,
and all we can do, is invest in it fully,
with seemingly reckless abandon.

Perhaps all we can do is be unafraid,
shed all our layers that we build to hold out pain,
to cover our nerve endings,
and dampen the grief and suffering of the moments that wound.

Perhaps all we can do is live a grateful life,
where each moment is beautiful for its own reason,
and our heart beats praise and thankfulness and love,
having peace with what we don't yet understand, and optimistic anticipation of the days when we will.

Perhaps all that's necessary is that we hold each other,
that we accept all that is and all that isn't,
and open ourselves to being vessels of joy and kindness and compassion,
and let that flow into and out of us.

Perhaps all we can do is live like Juneau lived,
and love like Juneau loved.

That's the only way anything makes sense now,
and it's what takes a moment like this,
a collection of seconds, a woven interaction of light and sound and temperature and the feelings that well and touch so much deeper into our heart and soul
and create a whole lifetime within it.

Perhaps all I can do now,
is be grateful for her,
grateful for His love,
grateful for so much.

Nothing else makes sense but this.
