Species: Shapeshifter

Personality Overview

Seven is for the most part a large child at heart. He enjoys using his animal forms to play mostly harmless jokes on his friends. Mostly harmless because he does sometimes forget that not everyone has the same healing factors his kind do. When he does accidentally hurt someone he considers a friend he doesn't sulk, he tries to find ways to make it up to them instead. Often times becoming mildly overbearing smothering them in blankets if they so much as sneeze, or using every pot and pan in the kitchen cooking them all their favorite foods. It takes quite a bit convincing for him to settle back down from his guilt.

When you've made a friend with Seven, you've made a friend for life, usually. He is clingy and doesn't like to let go of people unless they have done something absolutely appalling that he cannot justify in his own mind. Of course that doesn't work both ways to him, and if someone should try to cut ties with him for what he thinks is no good reason, he will not leave them alone until either they forgive him or they physically leave.

He also relies heavily on his animals instincts to keep him safe, and has little trouble letting them take over when need be. He can get lost in his animals instincts, and it can be difficult for others to bring Seven back to the front of things, but overall his childish friendly nature will shine through in most situations.

There's also a lot of lack of socialization that is obvious in his mannerisms. The most obvious being how often he forgets how essential clothes are outside of Othius. Those around him will do best to constantly keep a towel within reach unless they want to encourage his habits of walking around mostly nude. He's very polite though and when reminded of something that is or is not acceptable outside of Othius he will try his best to remember and act accordingly. Sometimes he just forgets though and needs constant reminders, especially when someone is around that isn't already used to his odd antics.

Appearance

Seven's a big adorable goofball standing at 5’11”, though dwarfed by many of the other compound inhabitants, he’s still taller than those he would/will call his best friends. Which is amusingly ironic as his most comfortable animal form is that of a sugar glider. He appears to be rather average as far as his human looks go, perhaps his ears are a bit too large, his eyes oddly pale yet bright blue; and his face is a constantly changing myriad of expressions, though most commonly confusion or glee.

While he looks older than he is, and by legal standards is an adult, within his own kind he is still very much the child he acts like he is. Shifters of his origins have collective lives they share with their animals that determine their own lifespan. For example, his crocodile form gives him an additional 70-100 years on top of the typical 65-90 years his human side already has. Collectively his animals give him roughly a 300 year lifespan, making him by human standards roughly 6 years old. Despite this comparative age, shifters grow quickly before they seem to never age again, and then in the last few decades of their life begin to show their age.

Animal Forms from smallest to largest

Sugar Glider - Standard wild coloration, roughly 6” long, weighs about 4 ounces, very fragile in this form. Enjoys riding in shirt pockets or hair squeaking for snacks and hiding in high places to glide and dive people.

Green Cheeked Conure - Mostly green, blue wing feathers, red tail feathers, black cap, roughly 10” from beak to tail tip, weighs about 3 ounces, very loud in this form. Enjoys ‘singing’, aka screeching from hidden spots until someone finds him. Also enjoys imitating things like phone ringtones, alarm clocks, sirens, and then flying off before whoever he is messing with knows it’s actually him.

River Otter - Standard wild coloration, roughly 2’ long, weighs about 20 lbs, very messy in this form. Enjoys hiding in peoples bathtubs in this form only to launch himself out to scare them then run off trailing water all over the place. Can often be found playing diving games in the pool in this form.

Irish Wolfhound - Breed standard grey coloration, roughly 2’10” at the shoulder, weighs about 150 lbs, very lazy in this form. Enjoys lounging about acting more or less like the typical family pet in this form. Happily takes up entire couches and refuses to move unless coaxed with food. Also uses this form to explore city life alongside whoever he's convinced to take him out with them.

Jaguar - Standard gold with black spotting coloration, roughly 2’6” at the shoulder and 6’ from nose to base of tail, weighs roughly 200 lbs, very protective in this form. Every shifter has one form that exists entirely to keep them safe, and the Jaguar is Seven’s guardian form. He can use it for fun and games when he wants to, but when threatened he will automatically shift to this before anything else. It is also the hardest form to get him to come back from if he's let it take over mentally.

Rock Python - Olive green scales with darker eldritch green almost black banding, little larger than 12’ from nose to tail, weighs roughly 160 lbs, abnormally playful in this form. Enjoys laying in wait in others beds to scare them, also is surprisingly protective of others in this form. He's not above using his size and muscled coils to “trap” friends out of harm's way.

Nile Crocodile - Standard blackish green and bronze mottled scale coloration, 13’ from nose to tail, weighs roughly 1,000 lbs, not as slow as he looks in this form. Though large and imposing, in this form Seven is surprisingly agile both in and out of water. He greatly enjoys being mistaken for a pool floatie only to roll and send the unsuspecting victim flailing into the water. Not as fast on land as he is in the water, he does enjoy stomping around acting like Godzilla regardless and is extremely vocal in this form.

History

Seven is a Marvel MCU OC, as such his history has a lot of Marvel references.

Seven comes from a place hidden from the rest of the world much like Wakanda, Othius. Located deep in the Swiss Alps it is nowhere near as advanced as the African nation it is allied to. It is common knowledge among his people that King Azzuri had been close friends with Chief Loure during their lifetime; and the friendship forged between them has kept Othius closely tied to Wakanda through the years.

When the shifters homeland was threatened by a modern world that could not understand their abilities, Loure sent a small party to Wakanda to ask for refuge. The Chief was a proud man who did not ask for help lightly. He offered aid in farming and food production so that Wakandans could focus on what they were best at, creating. It was then that King Azzuri offered them something better than running from their native land, sending the party back with a group of his own. The same holograms that hid Wakanda were installed and both nation's thrived in their isolation.

Though his nearly lifelong friend King Azzuri had years prior departed from the world, the Chief kept his ties to Wakanda through their annual envoys. He had not however, forged the same friendship with King T’Chaka as he found himself too tired to leave his mountainous home. Chief Loure held onto the hope that one of his ambassadors would rekindle that past friendship and bring the nation's together as closely as they had once been.

Every year Chief Loure sent ambassadors to Wakanda to show King Azzuri their gratitude. It became tradition for the youth to present themselves to the Chief and state their case why they should be included in the next envoy. Which is how Seven found himself leaving his home for what would end up being both the first and the last time.

Seven, though better known by his kin as Shioveck, was selected through his training. He had from a young age found shifting from one animal to another far easier than shifting back to his human form and then into his next animal form. A trait that roughly 15% of the population had a grasp of, and even fewer did with the comfort that Seven did. Chief Loure was also among those who did not need to shift back to his human form between animals, and he found Sevens enthusiasm for life refreshing in his own advanced age.

The young shifter was enthralled with Wakanda, the people, the technology, it was so drastically different from his home and he wanted to see more before returning to the snow globe as he often referred to Othius. It was both by luck and misfortune his wish came true. King T’Chaka was murdered during the Sovokia Accords and the newly appointed King T’Challa told the shifters present that he regretfully could not send them back with the security they were accustomed to until things had settled down again in Wakanda. Many of the shifters were understanding of the situation and even offered to pull their own weight however long they stayed within Wakandas borders.

Seven used the situation to his benefit and asked Shuri if she would not mind teaching him some of the tech she was working on. By the time King T’Challa announced he had men standing ready to take the shifters home, Seven had become fast friends with Shuri and was even less pleased with the idea of going home. He had grown fond of learning about all the projects she was working on, but more so of helping her to tease the King. Shuri petitioned for him to stay, but they never received a proper answer as the threat of Thanos became reality.

It was not until well after Thanos had been destroyed and the world restored to its former normalcy; that Seven decided it didn't matter what decision the King had made, he would not return to Othius with the others. Either he would stay in Wakanda learning from Shuri, or he would find his own path in the world. Thankfully he did not have to fight his case as T’Challa introduced him to the Avengers and told him that he would always be welcome in Wakanda, even giving him his own bracelet containing a single Kimoyo bead that would always give him access through the hidden barriers. The gesture has meant more to Seven than he lets on; and though he knows the Kimoyo bead is all but useless so far from Wakanda, he has never removed the bracelet. He does not know how it fits each if his animals, but he is relieved that it does and hasn't bothered to ask why.
