Horses, the ever-stalwart companion of many a race. Through all time there have always been equine companions to help people with their burdens, emotional or physical. From heroes past, to royalty and even the great calamity himself, at one point had claimed a mighty steed to bare them across the lands of Hyrule.

So it should come as no surprise to you that there is a god of horses right? The god of the stables, the protector of horses, this being is hidden deep in the region of Faron or so it is said. Truth is that while most Hylians treat their noble steeds with the utmost care, few believe in this so called God of Horses.
Most villages will have a shrine or statue to the goddess Hylia, where as the stables that dot the land pay homage to the god of horses with the great effigy that rests upon their rooftops. These effigies are likely to curry favor with him to protect the stable workers and their horses.
The Horse God exists though, magnificent and yet terrifying to behold Malanya is a playful diety who is ready and willing to aid you. Provided you can keep his power at full with a meager offering of rupees or the occasional carrot. (Even gods like to snack I suppose.)
If you can get past his jests, Malanya is a kind god who only wishes to see his subjects live a happy and full life at the side of their masters.
