You like things. The things that eventually collect dust over time, with some items fading faster than others. Things break. You break. You have never seen anyone else break but people are things too: they break, malfunction; can be stolen, lost; need to be carried around. Things, excluding people, is what you chose to like, but even things backfire sometimes.

They say love is a treasure greater than money. So if money is something to be invested, what does that say about love? You must love something. You must invest it in something. Non human things are the smart investment, you will love them and be warmed by your own obsession. A self consuming flame; alone, self sufficient

And yet you must give up parts of yourself to be happy. You must lose yourself. You must give. You must invest. You must be attached. This is the double edged sword and you are trying to work with it, trying to make the safe investment (and if not things, there are concepts to be attached to but you were always the doubter, always the faithless, to go that route)
