and when i got lost in space, i was ecstatic.

all round me colors moved, flashing and spinning and flowing in an uncontainable rave of passion and pigment; inside of me a warmth grew steadily and strong. though i had not a soul around me, i finally knew peace in the moondust that flew past me.

i finally knew peace in the vaporwave of energy that surged through my irregular brain, specifically abnormal but now with no one to notice the areas where i was different, where i was strange. i was content with my aloneness, not lonely, with an orchestra of unliving life all around me.

the stars giggled around me, including me in their humor, and i knew nothing of pain or awkwardness. the three moons to my left smiled at what, before i came here, marked me as odd or other, not because it was wrong but because it was not what the world i existed in thought normal. the three moons smiled at this oddness with acceptance turning up their cheeks.
