Appearance
Konane only appears in human form one day per month; the night she is not needed, the night of the New Moon. Her skin is silvery grey, her hair is blonde-silver and her eyes are blue-green. She forgoes clothes for the most part and instead lets chains of starlight and moon dust adorn her body. She has a lot of confidence and knows that she is important to life on Earth so she holds herself very straight and slightly stiff as a human. She is only relaxed around Pinctada.

Story
She feels she spends a lifetime waiting for this night. Truly, it is only 29 days but those days are lonely and dark and hidden from the only love she truly knows. As the night draws in though, she smiles to herself and, with a sigh, she falls. She lands in a rush of wind and starlight, her hands fumbling blindly for something to steady herself. She hears a whisper of noise and knows he is waiting for her.

She shines on him every other night and visits him this night. She knows that he loves her and she tries so hard to be where he needs her. His darkness stretches beyond her reach but she lights his surface and he collects the droplets of light that get through to his darkest parts. He waits for her this night to touch her, capture her light so that maybe, just maybe, his darkness won't be so unbearable.

She moves towards his whispering, capturing his lips with hers the second she can. His lips are cold against her skin as he embraces her, tilting her head so that he can deepen the kiss, his tongue surprisingly warm. She traces fingers over his skin, leaving a trail of stardust and moonshine behind. He knows he doesn't have long with her but he can't find it in himself to hurry.

She leaves him as the morning dawns and he returns to the sea, diving deep to wait to claim her first droplets of light, for those are the purest and the most full of his love. She shines as brightly as she can, lighting his darkness. When she is furthest from the time she will be with him again, and furthest from when she has been with him, it takes her whole self to shine enough to send him those droplets of light to show him just how much she loves him.
