From November 12 1966 to December 15 1967 a strange event occurred in Point Pleasant Virginia. A newspaper reported that people were seeing a strange "bird like" flying creature and this helped the story spread across the US. Then on December 15 1967 the Silver Bridge collapsed killing 46 people, Mothman was reportedly seen. That wasn't the only sighting, in 1999 he was reportedly seen just before the Russian apartment bombings, it is rumored that he is seen just before a tragic event takes place. No one knows what he is or where he is from, but there is one thing in common and that is the description. It is also known that West Virgina has had it's share of strange things, such as the Flatwoods Monster and the Grifton monster. It is also the home of the reknowned Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, there have also been numerous UFO sightings and other such things. What makes West Virgina such a hot bed of this type of activity? Noone actually knows, it only leads to more questions..
